i thought he was rested coz of a troublesome ankle ...... after playing 6 tests on th trot one might understand that he needs some rest and we saw that Pakistan do good without him ....... so that is what woolmer spoke of when he said they r trying to get kinda rotation policy into place to give all players especially fastbowlers some rest to prolong their careers and to enhance chances to play the best fit unit when going gets tough

You are all wrong. Actually Shoaib was offering nawafil till late at night, so couldn’t wake up for the game. He was then re-assigned as the designated Imam for the day.
On a related note, our dear friend from across the border, Sunil Gavaskar, has issued a timely “warning” to Pakistan. No surprise that this bit of “breaking news” was cheerfully picked up by the Indian media, your only source of reliable and current news.

Shoaib was rested due injury for the opening oD’r. Now was better than the game 2 or 4. Period

Because Tendu needed a century, and when Pakistan recalled the results of previous Sachin specials, they quickly complied.
