actually i’m not an indian muslim if that is what you mean.

Anyway, the fact is that CHT was majority Buddhist and the leaders were chakma which were Buddhists as well so it doesn’t really explain why the british gave this place to East Pakistan. Everything should’ve led to this place joining with India.

Yes J and Kashmir was majority muslim but the leader at that time was a Hindu. In this case with CHT it doesn’t make any sense at all why it went to Pakistan(now Bangladesh).

Btw, the case was made that percentage wise, it was a non-muslim area. The area is smack middle of bangladesh so how could it go to india? Btw, budhist doesn’t mean they wanted to go to india. Wasn’t it hindus vs muslims in partition?
