Sher Shah Suri was as tolerant as Akbar (if not more than him), but why Akbar is more praised and hilighted by historians?

Besides there were wars for expansion during Akbar’s era that might have affected many people living in those areas. I think he played well politically by ending some practices that had burdened the masses (like Jizya).

Sher shah suri remained the ruler for an insignificant time. I think historians pass their judgement on Moghul times, as they are well documented. British saw most of these events first hand, and then the monuments of that period speak themselves.
