Why people turned off the lights in masjid when they start praying(Dua)..

That’s the first time i have heard of anyone doing that. Usually, the time of making duas is a pretty quiet and ‘sacred’ time (‘sacred’ as in a time for self-introspection and deep prayers, asking for forgiveness); i never thought anyone would even think at such a personal and private time to switch off the lights. Maybe, just a thought, you should ask your Imam what’s the reasoning behind this.
