lets say you’ve been no contact with an ex for several months and it’s their birthday..do you break no contact to wish them happy birthday or just ignore it and move on with life? what if they wished you happy birthday earlier, few weeks after the break up? if you didnt wish them, how would that make ex feel?
ill let you know what i did once i hear what the rest of you would have done
Re: why this forum so quiet tonight..would you wish ex happy birthday?
I wouldn’t break NC to wish them a happy birthday. During the several months of NC, ex could have reached out to make the relationship work if it mattered that much to them…especially in the case where ex was more in the wrong. Wishing a happy birthday is sweet and thoughtful and courteous if it’s a reciprocal wish. But that’s all that it is. It doesn’t reflect a willingness to resume the relationship and to fix it.
Re: why this forum so quiet tonight..would you wish ex happy birthday?
if im not friends with my ex..i usually burn all bridges once done with a relationship. I don’t go wishing around strangers.
some people might. there is NO RULE!
do the wiser thing
Re: why this forum so quiet tonight..would you wish ex happy birthday?
this thread reminds me of indian movie “Break kay baad”. As much as i would love to be with Deepika but the movie showed an ultimate douche bag (Imran Khan) who had no self respect.
Re: why this forum so quiet tonight..would you wish ex happy birthday?
bro, these are my background movies … I mean I want somnething on which i don’t have to focus while doing my breakfast or doing some intense programming. Plus i could see deepika
Re: why this forum so quiet tonight..would you wish ex happy birthday?
I would if the relatiinship ended on a positive note. You Dont have to be “friends” but what’s the harm in wishing someine who once (not so long ago) meant something!
If she is trying to get over you and you know for a fact that she had a rough patch after the breakup spare her the misery and skip that birthday wish
