Why the need for fake miracles?

i came across some ‘miracle predictions’ in another topic ( Does Allah Exist?). What strikes me is how one member interpreted some verses widly. I have some serious reservations regarding some of them. of course their ongoing debate wasnt to be interrupted so i created this new one. ok here are the few verses that were cited.

FINGER PRINTS

“Their skins will bear witness against them as to what they have been doing” (41:21)

Now the entire verse is as follows : ‘…enemies of God will be brought together and led into Fire, so that when they enter it, **their ears, their eyes and their skins will testify to their misdeeds.’ **

What prints do you have on your ears? Reading this verse nowhere implies fingerprint identity or any of the sort.

The second ‘miracle’ reads as follows:

**Pollution **

“Corruption has spread on land and sea because of what men’s hands have wrought” (30:42)

Again, the verse here was taken out of context. If you read the preceding and the following verses, it would become clear that the matter being discussed is idol worship and the allusion to pollution, ozone layer depletion etc is way out of the question here.

The third miracle :

ROADS IN MOUNTAINS
“And when the mountains are made to move.” (81:4)
The entire verse reads as follows : ’ When the sun ceases to shine; when the stars fall and the mountains are blown away/made to move…’

Totally out of context here. Allah is describing apocalypse, not advancements in road building. In fact the surah is rightly called ’ The Cessation’.

The fourth miracle:

ZOO
**“And when the wild beasts are gathered together.” **(81:6)
Note the above verse is a continuation of the previous verse i.e. the total destruction of earth and in no way implies a Zoo..lol

the fifth miracle

BOOKS PUBLISHED AND SPREAD

“And when books are spread abroad.” (81:11)

Again note that the verse is the continuation of the preceding verses which describe the events before the day of judgement. in fact the translation I have reads as follows :

’ When the sun ceases to shine; when the stars fall and the mountains are blown away; when camels big with young are left untended; and the wild beasts are brought together; when the seas are alight and men’s souls are reunited; when the infant girl, buried alive, is asked for what crime she was slain; when the records of men’s deeds are laid open, and heaven is stripped bare…’

These interpretation are no different from the ones that westernes cite to forward their propoganda against Islam. I think this an insult to the Holy Book itself, coming up with miralcles such as zoos and roads in the mountains. So what prompted the original poster to post these miracles without even varifying them?
hmmmm. good worK AND a very important point for muslims of nowadays. we need to have a better understanding of our religion as it is deeply embarassing and humiliating to reduce the our religion to random miracles. we dont need to justify it through these silly assertions.

Mods plz change the title of the thread.

sNOVA if you came here to insult a religious book iam sure very soon mods will kick you out of this forum. If you really want a discussion on a particular topic or you have misunderstood any verse then learn to give an appropriate title and make a proper presentation. Stop attacking any religion without proper knowledge of it.

Inshallah i will try my best to answer all your question.

First tell me do you have a copy of Quraan?? Did you once go through or made a research before or directly pasted this stuff here? Anyways Inshallah i will answer your questions in your order. Let us take your 41:21 first.

You have clubbed 41:19,20,21 &22 verses and quoted it as 41:21. These verses are from Surah Fussilat. Inshallah I will quote them for your understanding.

41:19- And(rememebr) the day that the enemies of Allah will be gathered to the fire, there they will be driven(to the fire), former once being withheld till their later onces will join them.

41:20- Till, when they reach it(hell fire), their hearing(ears) and their eyes and their skins will testify against them as to what they used to do.

41:21- And they will say to their skins, "Why do you testify against us?" They will say" Allah has caused us to speak!"-He casues all things to speak, and He created you the first time, and to him you are made return.

41:22- And you have not been hiding yourselves, lest your ears and your eyes(in the world) and your skins testify against you but thought that Allah knew not much of what you were doing.

Now tell me your point. ... inshallah them i will prove the word of my Lord.

Yes i do have a copy. First let me clarify my stance here. Im not attacking Islam here. On the contrary, im trying to point out some wildy assumed interpretation of Koran posted by another member in another thread, which i believe are more of a joke. Koran is above such childish miracles.

I did read the verses cited by the original member. Their interpretations were out of context and that needed to be pointed out. Read my post again.

You are quite lucky to edit your post by throwing the blame on so called original poster before mods could give you any warning.

Anyways if you have any point related to these verses you or any one( original poster ) are most welcome to question them in a a proper manner . Quraan is free of errors, mistakes or any contradictions since it is the book revealed by the creator of heavens and earth.

Re: Why the need for fake Koran miracles?

He never said the Quran was wrong or had errors in it. Did you even bother to read his original post instead of concentrating too much on the thread title? He only said that some people are interpreting the verses he quoted in his original post inaccurately.

lol:D r u some private detective or something gupshup hired? What i edited was the addition of heading "pollution" to make it clear. Again u never bother reading the post.

Well sNOVA Iam neither gupshup hired nor a detective. If you are true then may be i was wrong.

Back to topic.

Re: Why the need for fake miracles?

[note]
samara, i don't think sNOVA meant any disrespect for Quran or Islam.

We shud remember that these "predictions" are "interpretations" of a human being and are not word of Allah or Prophet saw and hence can be wrong.

I also feel that people should be more careful before putting their interpretations as facts b4 people

[/note]

and even if he did say Quran is wrong or has errors, then what? have muslims become so insecure that there is no tolerance whatsoever of differing opinions.

of course there should be tolerance, with proof.

He'd be violating the Gup Shup Forum Rules then, duh.

Re: Why the need for fake miracles?

sNOVA

I totally agree with you.

With no intentions to pick a fight with anyone, all I wanna say is that verses quoted in the thread 'Does Allah Exist' were by a brother De.To.xed who belongs to an Ahmadiya jamaat where most is 'out of context'.

Re: Why the need for fake miracles?

Some of us will twist and curl the HOLY book as they please. And it's a saying in Quran itself that the people of the times nearing Qayamat will try to extract new meanings from the Holy Book and utilize for their own purposes.
Some bad times to live I say... or worse are yet to follow. God help us.

Re: Why the need for fake miracles?

okkkk

someone is quoting me....firstly this is a article i read and found interesting and posted it...i will check the translations and Tafsir....there might be some wrong quotations...

Re: Why the need for fake miracles?

The verses above are highly symbolic... a natural consequence of following through by establishing a system of justice where:

 • Powerful flags (such as that of Persia sporting the SUN as her symbol) would be folded and kept aside (Kuwwirat).
 • And the feudal system and nobility would loose their power (munkadarat).
 • And when long established traditions would be shrugged uprooted (suyyirat) ... all the way to ...
 • And when society will justly sentence its criminals (mau-oodatu su'ilat bi'ayyi zambin qutilat).

That day, man will realize what he has accomplished.

Re: Why the need for fake miracles?

I should also add that when I posted the article my intentions were positive.

If you are in disagreement with Miracles described in Quran then perhaps you would like to watch following videos:

1 - The creation of the Universe

2 - The expansion of the Universe

3 - Orbits

4 - The returning SKY

5 - Layers of the Atmosphere

6 - The function of the Mountains

7 - The mystery in Iron

8 - The proportion of Rain

9 - The seas not mingling with one another

10 - The sex of the baby

Now you dont necessary have to agree with videos above as similar you may have different interpreation of the ayats presented in article I posted. I can perhaps read the line one before and one after but this does not have to tell the full story. I will however try to go through whatever I can and check the validity.

what good are positive intentions when theyr false?

I think there is some problem with my java, iam not able to buffer these videos. If possible can someone please tell breifly about the content of these videos. Or else inshallah i will turn up when i set this problem.
