i really dont undersatnd if boy like some 1 and want to get married first they happy and all then when girls parents want to ask about shadi date they says abi tu nai karni humay dont even think what their son wants khud se faisala karley tay hain if boy say something then their is only 1 answer khud karlo agar itna shok hain ..delaying marriage for no reason really dont understnd some people dont even think this all effect his son’s life ..and becoz of all this misunderstanding creats ..
what to do ?

may be they are not ready to marry their son - financial reasons - or waiting for some one in family .

There could be a million reason for delaying the wedding. However, I do agree. Some desi parents lack the ability to communicate properly with their children and explain some of their decisions.
I guess you're the girl? I highly doubt you can do anything. What does your parent say about this? I've actually never heard about girls family asking for dates, thats maybe only a "rule" in punjab?

yes im girl ...actually in my family we dont take engagemnts for years and years and i think ALLAH helps when family decide for marriage so there will be no issue of financial yeah may be they might have ...we dont ask for date we just ask for their thought when they want to do etc

Dont worry too much. It will happen when its time. Dont push them or make him push them, they will just blame you unnecessarily.
I agree with you about engagements for years. We dont do that either. Creates unnecessarily tension.

well - Try to tell their Family that In your family they dont keep engagements for long
and may be try to get NIKKAH done - and then of course you can push later for Ruksati tooo
