I think it deserves a separate thread of its own…a reality check for Misbah bashers.
If Sachin can play at 38, then why not Misbah? Agreed Sachin is in a different league altogether but Misbah is in the form of his life and scoring runs consistently. His age (he turns 37 on May 28) should not be a barrier
GA...didn't the forum have a big misbah thread after the WC SF....?
I think it was finally closed or locked....
I think the subject has been beaten to death ...and its like a "dead horse".
**Misbah is not a finisher **of the class who pulls miracles out of the hat whenever the rest of the 10 players bail out cheaply...However he is a deservedly adequate middle order batsmen and so long as the selection committee can find someone of the same callibre for the middle order, he should stay.
I know AA. But thread is not Misbah WC SF Performance-specific!
Some people were still bashing Misbah's innings in the 3rd ODI against Windies. Yet those same guppies conveniently overlook Afridi's continuing irresponsible approach with the bat despite being the captain of the team. He has been stupidly throwing away his wicket in almost every game!
fully agreed.. the afridi fan boys trash talk misbah too much.. he has consistently been scoring runs.. the SF loss to India is NOT HIS FAULT ONLY..
The reason is that they want Misbah to be batting similar to Afridi 4, 0, 4, 6, 6, OUT (that is when he can play) otherwise 6, 4, OUT (which is probably 90% of the time).
All they want is hitting 4s and 6s, thats their cricket.
