Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?

Re: Why so many American military defeats/humiliations since 1945?

Let's take a look at the countries you listed and how they are fairing today, North Korea, Vietnam, Somalia then compare them to the U.S.

Tell me now, who really won and who really lost?
Japan and Germany were also defeated by the U.S. (and its allies) but look at them today, did they really lose?

Sometimes is wise to look beyond the battle field before declaring who's won and who's lost.

The battle for Afghanistan and Iraq is ongoing, will they end up like Somalia and if they do would you consider that a defeat for the U.S. and a win for them? If they end up more like Japan and Germany in terms of living conditions and freedoms, equality and justice would that be considered a loss for them and a win for the U.S.?

This mentality of U.S. against the Muslim world needs to be abandoned. The philosophy of, 'if it hurts the U.S. then it's a victory for Muslims' no matter the effect on Muslims needs to be rejected.

Freedoms and justice and equality are not values solely owned by the U.S. and calling for and demanding these values does not make one a dog of the U.S. and at the same time supporting the U.S. does not make one an enemy of Islam. Believing that "If **The U.S. supports it so it must be wrong" is like firing a gun with your eyes closed into a crowd, you simply do not know who you are hurting.

It's ture, U.S. is losing the 'hearts and minds' of Muslims, just be careful who you let win.
