No doubt degree in itself means nothing … but then, degree is a measurement of how much a person learned (at least 14 years of formal education). It also means that those who have degree is likely to understand what is written on paper they are going to sign and laws they would vote to get enacted.
It is also likely that they would be able to read, write, understand, think, and analyse information they are presented as part of Assembly members, hence giving some justice to them being elected.
