Saudis have long established friendship with Americans. Saudis don't want to displease their masters (Americans) and that's why they don't want to identify themselves with Hamas.
Hamas is an outfit which was established in late 80s to gain freedom from Israel through violent struggle and to build Palestine as an Islamic state. Hamas main supporter is Syria and they have common interest to get back their occupied land and also to solve the problem of Palestine refugees of 1948 who were driven out from their land after the establishment of the state of Israel. These Palestinian refugees live in various Arab countries and seek to come back and live in Israel which is their motherland. Unfortunately the international community doesn't seek to solve this problem but want to solve the problems of 1967 occupied West Bank and Gaja by making it an independent Palestine state. But what about the problem of refugees who were driven out of their land in 1948? Hamas wants to seek a solution to this problem and that's why it is unwilling to recognize the state of Israel unless Palestine refugees of 1948 are allowed to come back to their motherland

I don’t like to talk about politics but I know one thing for sure that Saudi supports only $$$ or White Skin …everyone else in this world for 'em is nothing just trash specially folks from south east asia if you don’t believe go and Visit KSA you will probally experience their behavior at the airport :halo:
It is pretty simple, they dont like the palestanians, however, they have no problem in funding the suicide bombings. This keeps Israel busy and serves their (Saudi Kings) interest.

In the late 19th and early 20th century, all the royal families of middle east, relied upon British empire to protect against Ottoman kingdom (Turky). After second world war, the British empire gave way to American empire. Now all the royal families of Arab peninsula look upon Americans to protect against hostile nations like Iran or other non royal Arab countries. These royal families also don't want democracy or empowerment of common man in the Arab world. So they use Islam as a tool to serve their own interest and keep away common man from empowerment and befriend Americans to protect against external threats. So America is their protector and their master. This is not only true for Suadis but also for Kuwaitis, Qataris or any other Arab royal kingdom.
Remember what happened in 1991. When Iraq attacked Quwait and created a threat to Saudis and other Arab royal families then who came to their rescue? It was none other than Uncle Sam.
Uncle Sam has an interest in the Arab world since common Americans are so heavily dependent upon Gasoline. Again Israel is another factor since there is a heavy Jewish lobby in America.
As far as i know the kingdom is the single biggest contributer to palestine in terms of aid. so the relationship seems murky. add to that a pro hamas or non recognition of israel will increse the threat level to the kingdom, you can sort of understand the kingdoms priorities.
since 1999 nucleur tests, its relationship with pakistan has grown. which suggests a lame attempt at building some sort of defence alliance. i think the kingdom doesnt really know its strategic future policy.
