Yes in masters and phd its an optional subject, but who would learn it at that level. It’s inferiority complex and nothing else. In the schools in which I used to study, students who spoke punjabi were called paindoos which was considered to be a derogatory word. None of my cousins speak punjabi, and that’s the case in many families. In a couple of generations I think punjabi would be history.
