Punjabi is not taught in Punjab, it seems as if the elite of the province was ashamed of their own roots. Go to any big city of Punjab and you will find a very big proportion of people who can’t even speak the language. I don’t think that Pashto is taught in Kp as well, I could be wrong.

One of my Pathan friend from Peshawer told that Pashto is the medium of instruction in KP’s schools. He himself used to do poetry in Pashto:)
