well u cant be an expert on everything so them guiding you on things they have either more knowledge or different perspective should not be an ego issue u know.
however there are people who once settled really start treating ppl who helped them poorly. I think it is a couple of factors one is that i think those ppl are morons to begin with but selfish and were all buddy bussy when they needed you and then when they dont their real selves show up, secondly i think for others there is a little factor that since u knew what they were like and now they ahve crafted a new identity, they feel threatened etc.
