The situation is not that people fleeing are like rats … rather even rats are clever enough to leave a sinking ship …
The few who will get away are the lucky ones … I don’t blame them for running; about 10 years ago the ship could been saved, but now … well major things are gonna happen there before any change of situation.

doubt that.... it's much easier to earn money and maintain a decent (or even an opulent) life style in pakistan..... and people here know it... the greatest concern here is security ... security of your family, of your belongings....... and even the integrity of the nation itself.... this may sound a little far fetched but if you had witnessed what happened on the streets of karachi the day Benazir died, you'd realize how frail the nation's state really is. I was there on the streets and the absolute terror that reigned that day still sends chills down my spine ... cars being set on fire ... banks being looted ... terrified people running everywhere.... buses and trucks smashing their way through pedestrians, bikes and sedans as they tried to evade arsonists .... women being harrassed... families sitting at bus stops and crying about how they'll reach their homes... criminals openly roaming with machine guns and shooting people who resisted them.. and not a sign of the police & rangers .. i myself saw no less than 50 cars that had been torched at Nipa and 50 near the old subzi mandi ! It was absolute hell
