Loss hurts but this was a great test match. Constant shifts in power through the course of five days made it a highly entertaining one. Sooner we accept that India is a better test team than ours the better. It was our bowlers who couldnt rise up to the challenge in second innings. Yes Shoaib Akhtar is a spoilt individual but without him our bowling lacks the bite to take twenty wickets in a test match.

7 test matches since Bob's appointment....5 losses....1 win and 1 draw....This has got to be the worst 7 test match stretch in the history of Pakistan Cricket.....

Out of those 5 losses, 3 were against Australia…and let me remind you something….when India went to Australia last year, aussies were without mcgrath, shane warne, brett lee and even Kaspo was not available…only gallispie was there to bowl…when we went, aussies were ready with their full strength. And just look at our team……it is a new team……what do you expect from Bob……and now against India, we have absolutely no one to bowl…..seriously, we have NO BOWLER…..we are trying to fill in the blanks but letting razaq, afridi and khalil to bowl on a regular basis…they are part time bowlers and we are asking them to bowl against the likes of tendulkar, dravid, sehwag and laxman……it indicates how weak our bowling attack is…..Indians should be shamed of themselves for not being able to beat this weak paki team within 4 days in their own backyard…..SHAME ON INDIA….so don’t blame Woolmer……

I just hope our **new **team’s “rebuilding” ends soon and we are back to our regular winning ways ( :halo: ).
When I look at West Indies, it gives me shudders. Poor buggers are in "rebuilding"for the last 10 years and losing everything in sight (except that tourney in UK, by sheer fluke). Pakistan’s been in “rebuilding” since last world cup, and probably will remain in this state till we actually win something credible.

o payee jaan, Bret lee was there and why don’t u just accept the fact that India played far better cricket in australia than any other cricket playing nation in the recent times. Warne never troubled indian batsmen in Indian dustbowls and you are saying he would have troubled indians. In fact if you look at the statistics he has one of the better strike averages against pakistan batsmen. Yes Mcgrath was not there, but then what if harbhajan was in that tour and we could have won the sydney test. What if zaheer wouldn’t have broken down half way through the series. What if sehwag would be carried on in the melbourne test? Cricket is not about if and buts!! You had a in-experience team and you guys played awful cricket. Even the senior guys didn’t show any courage or skills to match the talk they do almost everytime. Yes there were individual performance, but that ain’t gonna matter if team doesn’t wins. And yes shame on indian team!! lak laanat for not ousting such a pathetic team in under 4 days..

You cannot compare Windies rebuilding to Pak rebuilding....you are forgetting Windies are composed of numerous island nations with their own agendas, interests and difference, thus making their efforts fragmented and highly challenging....plus the logistics remains a huge problem
But the biggest thing working against the resurrection of windies cricket is american sports.....with the popularity of such games as basketball, track/field and soccer, cricket in windies is continously losing a huge pool of young athletes......
However, the conditions in Pakistan are quite different....cricket by far remains the only global sport, played and followed by the whole population, transcending all provinces and ethnicities, we have huge population and talent pool, more resources at are disposal than I would imagine the windies do and still despite having so much going as far as the ingredients need to excel are concerned, yet we still find ourselves struggling to rebuild and I thought after beating South Africans at home and NZ away after the World Cup, out rebuilding was well on its way....

Had anyone else said it, I wouldn’t have a problem, but for someone who is forever harping upon “players from Karachi”, “players from Punjab”, “Pathan players” etc, this is really rich.

Faisal, read Osman Samiuddin's article on Cricinfo regarding the expectations and patience in rebuilding phase.
Beside, with major technical flaws in our top order batting I don't see 80s/90s era coming any soon. We need to start working on grass root level to groom Under 16 teams with the help of former players. unki bhi rozi lag jayegi.

yaar, don’t go deeper than roots. Let the U-19 and Pakistan A team be groomed to fill the gaps.
