Why Muslims hate Israel.

I do not understand why most Muslims are hell bent to destroy Israel? They have provided so much hope to the Middle east, by establishing the only democracy, bringing western values (culturally), education and economic stability. Please answer.

I think it's because Israel despite being in it's infancy opened a can of whup a$$ on an allied Muslim force and kept them at bay.

Another time they not only thwarted the attack but made inroads into their land.. some of which they haven't returned yet.

Israel reminds most Muslims of that itch you cannot scratch.. or dare scratch.

now replace "Muslim" with "Arab" and you'd get why "Muslims" are told to hate Israel.

Think of it like a group of Chinese citiizens suddenly settling on the West coast of the USA, and declaring they were expelled from the US some 2000 years ago so they have divine right to establish their own country, and there presence will improve the lot of the average redneck who lives a dirty primitive life. Now this new nation suddenly gets massive amounts of assistance from suppose..I dunno...France or Russia and as a result defeats the US army. What do you think the average American would think of this new nation?:)

Imagine if the Indians (ok, need to clarify: Native Americans) had bigger guns.

Cowboy v. Indian wasn't much of a fair fight.. but I know.. that was 100+ years ago. Roughly the same thing has happened (though the expansionism was halted the attitude wasn't) in Palestine. This is the 21st century.. the time for cowboy v. indian is over.. from now on it should either be cowboy v cowboy or indian v indian.

Israel is truly an indian just like the palestinians, only they were lucky enough to have someone put the hat & boots on them and give them a horse and shotgun.

There is a slight political difference between the Jewish and the Zionist.

If Israel was to be a Jewish state there would probably be peace and actually the "real" Jewish people dont even want a state because in their book ( first 5 books of the old testament ) it says that Jewish will find a home right before a major event. ( I am not too knowledgeable in that topic; any comments welcome ) So the Jewish ( real jewish ; the religous people ) dont really want a country just yet.

Isreal is actually a Zionistic state which is actually a poitical wing of some extremist Jewish people who are not even very religous.

It is like giving a country to Taliban.

When it comes to Muslims extremists US will move its military forces halfway across the world to end their reign, but when it comes to Jewish terrorists ( Zionists ) US has given them more aid than any other country in the world.

Hence the hatred towards Israel.

Just remember my Muslims brothers and sisters....another person who is religious and belongs to "ehlay kitab" is probably a good natured person.

The Zions on the other hand are kniving, deceitful people hellbent on taking whatever they want from any that they consider non-jewish.

I was hoping for a more diversed point of view. I mean where are our Jewish brothers . I need to know what is their perspective?

Fayyaz: Excellent post brother.

One isn't born with hate Kaleem it is taught. Little children running around saying, "kill the Jews" is something they learned. The hatred from Israel is imbedded into the textbooks throughout the Arab world, is it not? There is a quote that says a wise man gets more use from his enemies than a fool from his friends. Governments of the Arab world have capitalized on this.

^ i agree with some of your statement. Tell me how is it different when Jewish leaders say "only good arab is a dead arab" or when they say that Palstenians are less than human.
It reminds me of a 20/20 special about one year ago, where they showed one of the new settlements (illegal according to UN, but I digress US, UK and Israel do not care about UN). They were interviewing these new citizens of Israel. What struck me was this young boy, must have been 9 or 10 years old. He kept saying that he wished death to all neighboring palestanians. I will paraphrase now " I wish we kill them all like rats".
Hatred is taught by both parties. What else any other point?

I don't see a difference between the Arab who says "kill the Jews" or a Jew who says "We must kill the Palestinians like rats", I agree hate is on both sides. I would like to see the end of those terror organizations who want Israel destroyed and the Israeli Settlements uprooted.

I don't understand the existense of Israel from legal point of view.

What is ISrael? oh!!! those zionists who occupied Palestine!

I suppose the problem is compounded by issues of faith, not the least of which ask, who is the first born son of Abraham?

Does it matter who was the first born? Do we need to settle disputes based on first born favoritism? I am not sure I understand your point?

Kaleem, IMHO the differences in religion far out weigh any claim to land.
the first born son of Abraham being the line of Gods chosen people. If not for the Koran / the Torah / the Bible, do you belive that this hatred would still exist so strongly? In other parts of the world where people dispute land ownership, (without religion as a basis) does this kind of hate exist on both sides for so long?

JusticeIsBlind,

The conflict is more of an Arab/Israeli one.. many living in those lands were Christian or Jewish but of Middle Eastern descent.

The trouble was created by imported Europeans who treat their dark brown brothers with contempt and grabbed their land claiming biblical rights over it.

It doesn't matter squat to Muslims in South Asia whether Ishamel or Issac was the first born. It's a tactic used by the Arab leaders to gather "Muslim" support for a very regional conflict (read land-grab-disagreement).

This thread is part of WA?! Interesting indeed!

Corrrect, PA! Archeology is the answer. Maybe the Palestineians should allow indepedent digs under Solomon's Temple instead of trying to eradicate proof of historical Jewish presence in the region!

Peace To All Who Read This...

Is it the duty of Muslims to Hate Israel? Is Muslim hate for Israel productive to their Palestinian brothers or is it counterproductive to their cause?

IMHO, no its not a duty of Muslims to hate Jews. There are a lot of factors that go into forming hatred for certain people/race/religion. Top of the list will be the indiscriminate killing of Palestanians by Israelis. Not only do they kill those people in cold blood, they try to justify it. More times than not most of the killed are innocent boys.
Who is to decide if it is counterproductive? You can use hate as motivation to take revenge or better yourself so you are not in a situation where your enemy can harm you. Alas, most of the Arab countries have decided to use hatred as a tool to pollute young minds with revenge and killing.

Kaleem your topic is very judgemental and too broad....for eg not most muslims but most arabs are highly anal about israel due to territorial issues. I on the other hand dont give a rat's arse about the arab conflict since despite their claims of exclusive right to that land..if you just read the finer print of history it suggests otherwise. The incompotent arab leaders who at home still brand a midevil prehistoric methodology of conducting politics and administration only chime in occasionaly to divert attention to the palestininan conflict so they can go on sucking the blood of their own people dry. I am all for an all out cleansing and reforming of all the these monarchic arab countries...since the whole concept and application is the main artery of hate in the mideast.
