Atleast in subcontinent when English rule was established, Hindus got more opportunities to get more civil jobs, so eventually muslims stayed away from main stream education system that can explain few things, atleast in sub continent

I think the Muslim world never had their Renaissance like the Christian world did. The Christians got rid of their medieval customs and shunned the illogical things in their religion but the Muslims never did that.

if the contention is that there is specific dogma in Islam that prevents Muslims from developing, this needs to be made more specific than 'they need to wake up', and more importantly, it belongs in the religion forum.

i dont want to move a thread with no focus and little discussion value except for 'muslims arent great' and 'person who started thread is a donkey' into religion, so please pm me if you want the thread re-opened and transferred with a more specific direction of discussion.
