I am aware of the fact that the Railway Ministry set up the Banerjee Commission. That doesn't change the fact that its members were senior judges from the Supreme Court of India.
The Committee spent two years investigating before they released their final report. The fact that the High Court of Gujarat and the BJP have declared its findings illegitimate is irrelevant to me, considering the level of involvement of the state government in the ensuing genocide, and the BJP's shameless exploitation of the Godhra deaths in elections.
