I guess I missed something in the past, I want to know why is Fazl Ur Rahman being called Maulana Diesel.

He earned this dubious title during the 2nd Benazir govt 1993-1996, he showed a lot of interest in getting diesal quotas all over the country.
he was elected as head of the Parliamentry committee on Kashmir in exchange for his support for the PPP (he declined to become a Minister under a woman). Naseeurllah Babar worked with him in that period and this is what he said

In fact, Fazlur Rahman has been so corrupt then when the federal government sent National Accountability Bureau officials to Dera Ismail Khan, Maulana immediately budged. This was when on resignations issue Qazi was saying one thing and Fazl another. Now he has prevailed upon Qazi to give up. Why Fazl was named Maulana Diesel earlier? He himself admitted it in front of the press that the charge had been correct. In fact, during our government, Fazl made so much demands that in front of him I asked Benazir Bhutto as to why he is not given the keys of the State Bank to get rid of him.
TNS: So, he is a very worldly mullah?
NB: Yes, all mullahs are worldly because all of them came through the madrasas and they haven’t seen the better side of the life. When Fazl was the head of the Parliamentary Committee in our government he went to Frankfurt and stayed at a hotel and left a huge bill of shopping outstanding which our ambassador had to pay.

No wonder, the petroleum ministry is still not assigned, I heard some rumors that Maulana Diesel was pressurizing Zardari for this post.

^^^ thats where he can improve on his existing title "Moulana Diesel" to may be "Maulana Petroleum" or "Mullah Oil" and we will have Halal Oil imports and distribution all over the country with one hidden "Mullah tax" added.

nfortunately there are not many politicians who believe in principles and ideology in politics any more. It has been left to us to keep the flame burning. We are the only political party left with any principles. There is only one principle in politics and that is to look after your hips. This is the only way to serve the national interest. Qazi Sahib does not understand. To be a successful leader and a coalition partner, he needs to learn the advanced skills of gyrating the hips to the man in power, which I am willing to teach him. I don’t think he will ever learn.
General Kayani came to see me. He has been to visit the USS Abraham Lincoln. He says it is built to a truly monumental scale, very similar to my hips. He says that once Bajaur is rid of its troublesome civilian population, and once Waziristan is rid of all living things, we could start the process of reconstruction. He suggests starting with building a golf course on my hindquarters. He has complete tactical and strategic agreement of NATO headquarters. I said I would do anything to further the cause of nation building and international peace.
To my opponents I would say, this is the time to forge ahead and deal with the dire tasks facing us.
