Getting overly infatuated or choosing to be in love with someone in a second meeting is universally acclaimed as being nothing but ridiculous. Reserving the man bragging rights for a second here, I wouldn't initiate marriage talks with elisha cuthbert if I didn't know her enough. Probably not even if she converted. Hah me already! :p
Go over the guy's pictures a few thousand more times I guess. That should gradually help minimize the aesthetic obsession.

You don't want to marry a shallow man, so if you get rejected based on a photo, then you ought to count your lucky stars because he was never worth it.
