because what happens in yemen is not my business, its yemenis business, do u want us muslims to go and demonstrate in front of yemeni embassy every day? I as an american am concerned about my rights, yes I want muslim countries where non muslims minorities are illtreated to straighten out, so u want me to alternate camping out in front of different embassies every weekend?

I am not asking you to go and protest in front of embassies. My point is “Why is there no secular Islamic Country”. While individuals should be more concerned about their own rights, it is also important that we feel others too can have rights on their own. Your point that you protest about American policies because you are an American, it becomes very difficult to imagine why there is so much indignation for what is happening in Palestine. I am not specifically talking about you, but in general. It is wrong to stereotype, but that is the general trend that I have seen here.

what about ppl born in UK and US, or their kids, what ties do they have to their grandparents country,let alone some country in middle east they have not been even in the same time zone as.

Ask these people born in other countries where their loyalties lie and am quite sure that most of them would relate to the land of their forefathers rather than the land in which they are currently staying.

its statements like these used by hillbilly uber right winger types saying oh well if non muslims cant build a house of worship in saudi arabia then muslims can build a mosque here, because well as we all know a 20 something african american muslim who has been here for umpteen generations calls the shots on laws and enforcement in saudi arabia.

Simple question… When there was some issue regarding the Prophet’s(pbuh) picture was published, muslims all over the world rallied to protest against that. Why isnt there a similar kind of protest from muslims who seriously believe that secularism is better when minority rights are denied in muslim countries.
