Why Islam is the BEST religion and Hinduism is the WORST religion

It's not so much an order to free slaves as it is a case of extremely strongly encouraging us to free slaves.

M_S what happened to your GUPPY FACE?

Perhaps Islam's remarkable expansion is a matter of pride for some, but an issue of much greater importance is how these muslims of an ever-increasing number conduct themselves in the world. Whether its face to face or over the net, the same standards/values apply, values that islam instills in us, specifically in this case, ones of polite conduct, high morals and respect.

What she said was very simple. DO I care if some one criticizes islam... Ask me if I care....

Slavery is forbidden in Islam and if you have one Islam encourages you to free him/her. But in exceptional circumstances if you have a slave then according to Islamic guidelines ur slave has the same rights as every one else. You feed ur slave what you eat cloth him what you wear love him just like you love ur children....
My my that’s one hell of a slave you better off freeing one.

Abdali, many thanks for your reply. Of course I understand where you are coming from, but I think it is human nature to be hurt when someone offends something close to you - if someone puts up a post in the Pakistan forum degrading Musharraf’s reign and completely ignoring any positive policies he has implemented, I think you would care enough to try and correct the inaccuracies in that post.

Perhaps I am frustrated because subsequent to writing a looong reply to someone trying to argue that Islam is a tolerant, peaceful religion, I immediately came across the title of this thread. The last trait I want to have is to be a hypocrite (we know what the Quran states regarding the punishment for hypocrites) - I cannot rationally be arguing that not all Muslims are intolerant while simultaneously not expressing my feelings over this post. I hope I didn’t offend you or anyone else, accept my apologies if I did.

** The way slavery is supposed to be practiced in Islam is very different from the way in which it was practiced in the west; in Islam slaves have many, many rights.
Nevertheless, in Islam freeing slaves is considered to be an exceptionally good deed. and was widely practised by the Prophet (SAWS) and the Sahaba.

Yeah thats what i read too. So i can be sure that slavery has a different definition, than the western slavery.

because in reality, hinduism isnt a "religion", it's a generic name for the VARIETY of (and often times totally different) culture/beliefs/philosophies produced on the indian subcontinent, which includes pakistan.

you can not compare "hinduism" to islam then. it's apples and oranges.

you can however, compare specific beliefs, and schools of thought coming out hinduism to those in islam.......but you have to be specific about it.

btw, i am NOT a hindu. before you ask.

Nobody cares what u think..u are supposed to hate and not befriend non-believers, what u are saying is repeated everyday on the forum, this is the way u want to feel superior and gain credibility..so be it. You only prove what we already know about you by posting these kind of messages.

Bakwas from total idiot. You want proof here it is, a verse from Koran, calling Arabian the best people and telling them to fight anybody who believes contrary to what they believe in...some equality.

[3.110] You are the best of the nations raised up for (the benefit of) men; you enjoin what is right and forbid the wrong and believe in Allah; and if the followers of the Book had believed it would have been better for them; of them (some) are believers and most of them are transgressors.
[3.121] And when you did go forth early in the morning from your family to lodge the believers in encampments for war and Allah is Hearing, Knowing.

Please don't tell me it is out of context because this teaching is not acceptable in any context and it is not a story but a verse. If u want more proof please let me know i can provide u with more verses from Quran.

Dear Salman,

Here are some verses from sufi culture, poet Kabir,

For Muslims he says;

Kankar pathar jori ke, masjid lei banae
Tan chari mullah bang dei
Bahra bhaya khudae!

For Hindus he says;

Pathar puje hari mile, mein pujun pahar
Tante te chakki bhali
Pis khae sansar

With best regards
