So what? That’s kinda cool…

For you maybe not, you are already very cool on this forum with your ahem tendencies
5 pages into this thread and I still do not clearly see what your point is PKTaz. Could you please summarize it for me (cause I don't feel like re-reading all 5 pages again). Thanks.

Pashtu should be made the official language of Pakistan
-
NWFP should be renamed Pathanistan
-
Pathanistan should then be liberated to Afghanistan
Question is, if NWFP is not part of Pakistan like you say, why should we make Pashtu the official language of Pakistan? ![]()

Originally I wanted Urdu to be replaced with Arabic as our national language instead and regional languages being taught in their respective provinces as compulsory subjects and but since I have realised that isn’t very likely I’m thinking Sarhad (NWFP) should leave the Hindians and merge with Afghanistan.

Yeah, I am sure great care of Pashtu (or Arabic) is being taken in Afghanistan, where more importance is being given to issues like male-male marriages and making love to an AK47.
Is joining the NWFP with Afghanistan really practical? Can Afghanistan deal with its own problems (feeding the population, educating them, rebuilding the country, etc.) before taking on the NWFP? What would it really achieve? Only more problems for Afghanistan. Do they even want to merge with Afghanistan? What is your comment about "Hindians" supposed to mean? That anybody who isn't pathan is "Hindian", meaning Punjabis, Sindhis, etc.?
...
Out of steam huh? Answer mehnaz’s questions if you can. Yes, you are unpatriotic, you arent straight, you oppose Pakistan, you oppose the national language, you want NWFP to merge with Afghanistan, and yet you talk about patriotism? Now youre dragging India in the conversation? Just do us all a favor and shut up.
Considering pk taz's attack on urdu and the usual garbage of hindians, I should be the last person defending him, but what is wrong if people of nwfp want to change their province's name to pashtunistan? Or if they want to speak in pashtu? Why is that an afront to pakistan? If they feel closer to Afghanistan or Mongolia, why does that bother anyone else?

Ever wondered what language did the prostitutes of Moghal and other Royal courts of India conversed in?

What's wrong with moghal tawaifs? They were some of the most beautiful women and accomplished dancers that India (that included at the time, Pakistan) ever produced. I wouldn't have thrown one of them for eating crackers in my bed!

Imdad, your repute as another one of the provincial bashers (and army haters) is not exagerrated. The people of NWFP comprise of other ethnicities, than just Pakhtuns. They do not want to live in a province named 'Pakhtunistan', just like you do not want to live in a country called Pakistan. What about them?

I know that already but does Pakistan belong to them?? No cuz if it had done they would be allowed to name their province after their ethnicity Pashtunistan, Pakhtunistan or at least Pathanistan.
Pakistan has always used Pashtuns for it's benefit and the Pashtuns have let them.

This is not true. Naming th eprovince is not a big issue. We pashtuns are maybe closer to Islam therefore we need to take a leading role and unite Ummah not divide it! By making Pakistan strong Islamic state we will make Ummah strong!

This is not the way! Yes Arabic should be the language across the Muslim world (yet preserving and respecting regional languages) but breaking a Muslim country is another big sin! You know how much unity is stressed in ISlam. Pakistan is supoposed to be a role model. Breaking away a region would make no one stronger. If we separate from Pakisatn would that make us any powerful. Strngth lies in unity. Do not generalize we are all Muslim Pakistani brothers. Nobody takes anybody's rights if we do not give them. Let us examine our own people, we are always fighting within our tribes and amongst our tribes. Maybe it is genetic, but we must stick to Islam and unity, not breaking away.

I agree. If we name it PAshtunistan than by that priciple we must name the seraiki south punjab siraikistan.. What rubbish. Aren't there more thngs to worry and making Pakistan stronger than this useless discussion?
