urdu sounds gay and overly polite..However I think more and more those who do not understand nor speak urdu lies within the older generation..However as time goes on, it appears the new generation as we see now will speak urdu..

Urdu is great. Thanks to it I can carry out a rudimentary conversation with someone from Afghanistan. And it seems to be similar to the same language that people in India can understand as well so what's the problem?

I know yaar, but since its taught in the schools, the future generations will speak it as their first language and at home as well. It all stems from an inferiority complex

Urdu is the language of poets, the language of lovers, the language of romance (excluding French, Italian, Spanish, etc.). I think it's a beautiful language and anybody who can speak urdu fluently has my respect (cause I suck at it).
