some channels are wishing 61st independence day

and some are saying 62nd Independence day

even here in GS.. it has happened in same way..

em really confused, can anyone please explain me the logic behind?

Pakistan is 61 years old........and we celebrated the 62nd independence day yesterday.
14th aug 1947 would be counted as the 1st independence day...
