Why is tea so important in the pakistani culture?

This randomly entered my thoughts whilst I was drinking a cup of tea. No matter what, every (or most) Pakistanis love a good cup of tea. Why do you think that is?

Don’t like tea. may take it some times but still less then 8 times a year.

I can’t start my day without drinking a mug of tea.Twice a day everyday for me is a must :chai:

Reason: I am addicted to it.It’s a better alternative compared to coffee with less caffeine and it does the same job as coffee i.e wakes you up.

Tea can be good but I prefer my coffee any day.

I think teas are a great part of our culture…stemming from the English I assume.

I never drank black tea.

Only Drink Green Tea.

All my family drinks tea every day. Me I still have a cup of milk in the morning and night

I only drink Green tea when I’m bed bound… which is pretty rare unless I break a bone or get a nasty bout of man flu

:smooth:I dont drink it warmed unless it’s winters night. Cold milk keeps some strength in it… but Western processed excuse for milk is nothin… gimme the raw stuff for sure… I remember my cousins went home with me one time… hahaha poor chaps could not digest the propper stuff :bummer:

Hate to sound like grandpa but too much cheni is bad… then again it’s not like we can avoid cheni or loon… they put it in everything these days… :confused:

aho ji!. Bachpan mein cheni behat pasand thi, ab kafi kam kardi hai or jaha tak loon ke baat hai, wo kabhi ziada istamal karta hun khas taur pe jab daal paki ho (chup ke). Waise hamein ye cheezein kam kar deni chahiyeiN.
