You mean "addictive"?
I don't find it addictive. Never started drinking tea until recently........and that too only once in a while (green tea or white tea).......and not because of the taste.....more because of the health benefits.

am not addicted to it...I drink it once in a while..specially when I am studying and need to stay awake....

Ahem. Well, it is not so addicting as coffee, but in Pakistani culture, I would say it is the intertwining of all socializing and human interaction with tea.

Tea/coffee cause more of the psychologic dependancy not really strong addictives.
Real addictive agents cause strong withdrawal symptoms.
P.S. When tea was started by East India (British) Company, it was made available free to everyone.

Anywayz I think its caffeine you are addicted too thats why people like tea or coffee or caffeinated drink.

Dependancy/addiction is not just because of the chemical agent in any item.
If one takes caffeine tablets, that person may still want a tea cup!
Same goes with cigarrettes- nicotine lozenges, patches etc. may also fail.
It is the habit of having a hot cup of tea or cigarrette in hand which also plays a strong role.

I am not sure but my hubby has to have his chai otherwise his day just doesn't go well.. For my parents they are not very addictive, if they get it great but if not they are fine.
