Is it because they hold the majority in the senate?
According to the constitution of Pakistan you need 2/3rd majority in both houses, including the Senate to pass any constitutional amendments.
Is this the reason PML (Q) is so relaxed.
You need 2/3 majority overall (Senate and NA). Even if you have 0 seats in Senate you can still do it. The coalition already has the support of 211 MNAs in the new National Assembly plus I am sure they have a few seats in The Senate. They need 228 overall. It would be wishful to think that they can't (independents, PML-Q defections and so on)
