Why is PM Gilani so scared?

He makes a decision about whom the ISI should report to, then within a few hours he changes his mind sighting ‘miscommunication’?

Time for a decisive person like Great Zardari to become a P.M? I am sure a seat can be vacated for him to fight a by-election - in the nation’s interest ofcourse.

Re: Why is PM Gilani so scared?

^ Do you think Gillani made the decision without “consulting” The Great Zardari? :rotfl:

^^^^
pakistan main har badmashi ki jarh ISI hay jo MQM or Taliban jaisi terrorist parties create karti hay aor bandon ko withou kisi report ke ghaib karti hay. Abi tak sankron banday ghaib hain aor un ke reshtedar becharay aas lagaay bathain hain ke shayad woh zinda hon. Har sharif aadmi including Gilani is say darta hay. PM ISI ko report karata hay na ke ISI PM ko. Zardari Mush ki NRO ki waja se nazar araha hay. Warna wo tumhari tarh Dubia aor London ke mazay loot raha hota. Baat samjh main aai ke nahin.

Really your sarcasms are quite irritating. Please change your way of thinking. Had you been a journalist, you would have got a good kick on your behind by the editor.

ehtasab bhaijan. Are you suggesting that PM Gilani, who was elected as the PM unopposed by the Parliament cannot make decisions himself and is taking orders from someone else? :(

Unfortunatly, it is true, the election of 18 Feb. has only removed Short-cut Aziz, replacing him by a clown. Unlike short-cut aziz, who give **** about Ch. of Gujrat, have to look for instructions from Zardari and Musharaf, Poor chap have to many masters to please. I strongly doubt that he can help Pakistani People in any manner, yet he will make the situation worse in coming days.

Being elected unopposed by parliament has nothing to do with decisions. Besides you probably missed the article which said that Zardari was in agreement to the change.

ehtasab bhaijan. Great Zardari also signed the Muree Declaration. :)

hanibal bhaijan. So what was the point of change if govt is carrying on with the old policies? And how will PM Gilani make things worse? After all, the voice of the people, the MNA's in the Parliament elected him PM unopposed. This should give PM Gilani great confidence? Shouldn't it?

Exactly, now go back to your statement where you said something about him being "decisive".

ehtasab bhaijan. Does this mean the Ex CJ is not being restored. :frowning: :teary1:

Re: Why is PM Gilani so scared?

^ Is this part of the thread discussion too? :hmmm: and no I don’t care about him

ehtasab bhaijan. Join the club. Majority of the Pakistani public doesn’t care about the EX CJ either.

What do you think about the U turn made by PM Gilani. Do you believe someone else pulling his strings, if so who could that be? :hmmm:

Re: Why is PM Gilani so scared?

^ but I am also in the club who appreciated his stand against Mushy, are you?

His u-turn most likely came as result of Kiyani, IMO.

ehtasab bhaijan. Are you suggesting the Army is interfering in political decisions? Should this not have changed after 18 Feb? Is the Army still the most powerful institution in Pakistan? Surely not. :)

Army is using its danda for being powerful, I agree, but that should not result in delusion that army is the best institution.

Re: Why is PM Gilani so scared?

considering the circumstances im impressed with gillani. he is not thugish. so far (mashallah) zardari has also been pretty impressive. theres a global economic problem at the moment and this government should be judged on how it handles the crises not on the fact that the crises has arisen.

this government has so far managed to:
lower the internal violence
to some degree paved the way for peace in afghanistan by refusing to hunt 'taliban' and have engaged the same in political dialogue
have announced plans to set up universities in fata inc medical
are continueing to annouce a range of plans to combat worsening economic situation inc banning export of wheat, lifting duty on petroleum (i look forward to other measures being intoduced)
army is less alienated

the dramatics of 2007 are gone

i wouldnt have voted for the ppp but now that they are here its important they are given credit where it is due.

Re: Why is PM Gilani so scared?

You know, I saw Gilani interviewed in the PBS NewsHour this evening and felt that he was so guarded to the point of looking scared. For multiple questions he resorted to the exact same answer - same phrases uttered in same order, which indicated it was a well-rehearsed / coached message.

But I didn't get the feeling of listening to a leader, rather that of a departmental official.

the other thing is, even though he speaks fairly decent english, I suspect he may not have understood the nuances of some of the questions she asked. May be he should consider an interpreter (because some of the interviewers can be wily)
