So now something that is all over the news - around the world
is not even worth a whisper in the pakistani media…
So are they trying to hide it or what ?
An innocent foreigner was mercilessly slaughtered and this will certainly have far reaching effects (negative) for Pakistan’s already tarnished image in the outside world.
I mean, not even a one liner any where in pakistani news channels
May these Taliban barbarians go to hell and get what they truly deserve.
Re: Why is Pakistani media keeping mum about this ?
what do you want them to do? Keep showing it so some more damage could be done to the much glorified image of Pakistan? Would Indian media ever glorify their crimes in Kashmir or show presentations on other separatist movements? Would the mainstream American media ever *fully * show the true nature of Iraq war and the crimes they committed there?
Re: Why is Pakistani media keeping mum about this ?
About time the Pakistani media got some patriotism in its blood. I frankly love the Dawn commercials - "Rise Pakistan take back your identity". About time.
[note] The use of profane language is not needed[/note]
Off course no one has to go far to figure out why the sense of loss is gone from the paks. The blame goes to the Islamism that we now carry as a chip on our shoulders.
We'll jump up and down 10 foot high when Israelis kill a Palestinian, but when it comes to the death and destruction in Pakistan, we take another sip of chai, and start walking like robots to the nearest mosque.
This is what people call vicious circle. The more Islamism we do, the more death and destruction happens.

So what IS Pakistan's identity ???? And do you mean to say that not showing this type of news is "Patriotic" ????

This situation is pretty bad. Even foreign born people of Pakistani descent should be careful. All the kidnappers know is that they'll get muchos rupees for handing over someone with a non-green passport, even if they're brown and have a 10 foot beard, over to the Taliban.

I believe the Shi'as of Kurram have copped it much worse than anyone currently, but alas, Pakistanis don't come out in droves to condemn them.

^^
Friends,
I stand corrected
So it has been covered by Pakistani news channels - could be after the news spread all over the world. When I saw it on yahoo news , I searched for some Pakistani local source for the same and I didn't see anything, hence this thread.
I apologize if this was taken as "jumping the gun"
Anyway ... sad incident
**
P.S**
And yes - the Talibans still go to hell
whether or not the news appeared first in foreign or local press.

in my opinion mumbai attacker kasab's family village was discoverd by geo tv and villagers interview was shown by them ,when whole members of gup shup were denying kasabs pak link. now no body can deny that we indian/pakistani are taught to defend every right or wrong this is known as patriotism.
