I think the PCB is making a big mistake in pressing hard for ties between Pakistan and India … since PCB + other cricket and non-cricket figures in Pakistan said it again and again we’ve come now to a stage where it’s mere begging but not reaching out with a hand in friendly manner as a neighbour … Not the BCCI but the indian Gov. is taking wrong advantage of it … everyone is able to guess what’ll be major benefit of such cricket ties … namely the financial win the PCB is awaiting … money rules … Speaking in phrases on different occasions of a healthy competition is wrong argumentation, i think that the current Pak-Team is for sure weaker than it’s Indian counterpart …
So just for the sake of financial boost PCB is bowing itself to a ridicules level almost giving the impression that PAK-Cricket won’t survive if India don’t play them …
Since it’s Cricket all the matter is about do u really think a INDO-PAK series is going to benefit the level/standard of cricket both countries playing at the moment ???
I think no … since Pakistan is pressing for these ties it gives the impression that u (Indian Gov. in it’s stance) r right in doing so but please please give ur team the approval to play us … even thought we know that they (Indian Gov. in it’s stance) r wrong in it …
Question for Pak-Cricket fans: Are we (PCB, The Nat. Side and all those who tried for these ties) really so worthless ???
I thought the question was to the Pakistani Fans, interesting to see so far the indians have replied. Seems like the indian fans are more desprate to see PAK india matches. Wonder why? Maybe they think PAK team at this stage is weak so its easy to beat them and closer the gap of 52:30 ;) :)

Teaservice, there's a difference between Pak cricket fan and Pakistani fan.
From an Indian cricket pov, I'd rather at this point focus on beating the Aussies than get distracted with others. In particular, I'd like to avoid India - Pakistan matches in the sub-continent for a while since any such match becomes a security nightmare.
^ Be glad to teaservice baby. You assumed erroneously in your post that the question was posed to Pakistani fans. The original question (read it in the first post of this thread) was explicitly directed at Pak cricket fans …not Pakistani fans.

Come on man, that statement associated with beating australia rather than Pakistan is sheer cowardliness, infact it oozes cowardliness... Dont you want to neutralize the 52-30 record?
I beg to differ with your views. I think Pakistan is being straight forward with what they truly believe in. They want cricketing ties to resume ASAP between the two giants of the game. They are not mincing any word about their stance. Good job.
India on the other hand is USING cricket to gain popular vote. They don't even have a valid stance. If it's because they are at war with Pakistanis who they term terrorists, then why other sports are being carried on as usual?. Why just cricket?.
I'd tend to agree with the original post. It seems all what matters to PCB right now is money. They are crying because India's refusal deprived them of money. I think they should show some dignity now and even if at some point in time Indian govt. allows its team to play cricket, PCB/Pak govt. should consider the option of playing or not playing against India.
Secondly, personally I would not even want the two countries to play cricket for some time. They have dragged their war and enimosity on the play ground. The last WC encounter was more of a war than a match. They should chill out for a while and resume play when the temperature is under control on both sides.
Pakistan and India should play cricket because it would make the public happy. Just because there are politicians who don't agree because they have their own bile-filled agendas to fulfil doesn't mean we should stop trying to do the right thing. I think the ICC basically supports the Pakistani stance so eventually I feel that the BJP govt will bow to public demand.
