Today I saw a proper charged up MQM crowd for the first time. They are usually quite silent and attentive listeners, but today they poured all their energies into Go Zardari Go slogans. I have never seen MQM crowd that animated.
It is quite funny to see even PPP being embarrassed by Bilo and not publicly owning his beastly trolling. Sharjeel Memom begging MQM to come back, what a joke. Errr, how about putting Bilawal forward and asking him to deal with the issue he himself has created? He thought it would be fun to act like a pretty looking Altaf Hussain on Eid day and make all those cheap threats.

Anyway, MQM being MQM, it looks like a same old drama, they'll come back to PPP in no time. Depends on how soon Zardari or Rehman Malik make the trip to London or who knows, maybe this time, they'll send Bilo to seek forgiveness from his dear uncle Altaf.
If it is a serious decision, then it is a bad news for Nawaz League and looks we are ultimately heading towards mid term elections. Even JI has announced some tehreek and series of jalsas.
By the way, the way this young Zardari kid was exploiting the name Bhutto, it was about time that someone would expose his charade. It really didn't take long for people to reduced him to an imposter. Shouldn't have went overboard with those ghastly "mai Phutto hoon, mai Phutto hoon" jingles. Besides, if you are going to physically beat your chest whilst wailing these slogans, chances are someone will take a notice, and say hold on: you ain't no what you say you are, you are a fraud, and here's why.

This isn't surprising after holding a mediocre jalsa with the appalling speech by Billu, in the eyes of many the PPP has yet again failed to establish a strong political comeback and it has put its senior leadership in question. The milked slogans and political rhetoric is not going to work in the current political environment.

PPP's flopped Jalsa where they couldn't managed to draw crowd from Pakistan's largest City, and virtually zero visible representation of urban class - and eye opener and true dose of PPP's reality for all spectators - probably made MQM realise that they need to hold on to their urban vote bank and sympathisers before they commit to PTI. In the country, there is a strong current of anti dynastic nepotism and MQM, I would imagine would be under a lot of pressure from it's ordinary workers and voters to respond to public sentiments considering MQM's founding ideology is against these things.
MQM would probably come back, but there is also a possibility that MQM may end up reviving its politics. It is already beginning to appear that large chunk of their mid term election campaign would be based on the demand of new province. Though this debate has serious potential to sound and cause embarrassment since a lot of ethnic mudslinging and discreet hatred will become part of it, but one thing that clearly works in MQM's favour is that long gone the days where anyone who would dare raise a request for the creation of new province for better administration and equal distribution of resources would be branded as traitor. PPP cannot pull the mulk dushman card anymore, and they can chant cheap reactive marsoo marsoo slogans to appear like bunch of Sindhi nationalists, but there's no denying that right now, there's a genuine consensus in the country that we need more provinces.
