A day does not go by without Karzai criticising Pakistan for something or other.
Why the sudden silence for the past two weeks?
Has he realised that the Pakistani Pashtuns fighting the foreign fighters in Waziristan would undermine his credibility?
Or, has he realised it is better the devil you know, and if Musharaf is ousted he would have to deal with someone that would not welcome his criticism of Pakistan?

For Pakistan its a playing card now. Pakistan can always play their emotions and gain support in Afghanistan and cause turmoil.

Maybe Karzai has become irrelevant? He hated it when Pakistan govt made a deal with the tribes in Waziristan last year, but here his spokesman is welcoming a new deal in Bajur agency.

Afghanistan welcomed the recent peace move in Pakistan’s Bajaur Agency, adding it will support of all measures that bring peace and stability to the region. President Hamid Karzai’s chief spokesman Karim Rahim told journalists on Tuesday they were happy at the assurances give by the local people to the government of Pakistan regarding the Taliban and foreign militants. Some 800 elders from Pakistan’s Bajaur Agency assured the government that they would not support and shelter the militants. Pakistani government said it was a unilateral assurance given by the people of the agency. At the same time, the Afghan spokesman said this agreement must not face the fate of the previous one signed with the local Taliban in the country’s North Waziristan Agency.

& When was Afghanistan with Pakistan? Pakistanis always helped them & they always punched knife in the back of Pakistan, prime example 1947/48 - Afghanistan was the only country who opposed PK membership to UNO. It started there, Karzai & Group is just decendant of that chain. What did Afghanis give to PK? Klashikov? Heroen?Of course its due to failure of PK Government yet few deseases came from Afghanistan.
