You're right, Nik. I've noticed that myself. When you're late, you run into just ONE red traffic light........and after that ALL **traffic lights are **red. Some traffic lights are coordinated for the same time.....so if one is red....the rest are red.
And yes.......when you're in a hurry......you encounter a slow car in front of you. And if it's not a slow car.............then you find your self STUCK behind a super slow moving Pepsi Truck...........who is stuck behind a super slow** Construction truck*.....who is stuck behind a super slow **Cement truck*.

And then you become a speedy gonzalez and do a 55 on a 40 speed limit road only to find that there is a cop on the side somewhere........and you have to slow down. LOL. One of the cruel ironies of the world.

Try changing the lane and over take in truck cases... I do that without giving myself a 2nd thought.

I do change lanes........only on days that you're running late.........sad irony is that the other lane has got trucks on it too, lol.
Or if you're in a single non-crossable lane.......you're stuck.

Niksik, that person's mind might be slowed down. When thoughts are on the person's mind, but when this happen, I drive away changing the lane. I know exactly how it feels, you do feel angry at the person, but often I notice it could be an elderly person already driving slow and slow down even more, when approaching a yellow light turning red to avoid ticket or breaking traffic laws and in doing so, the person slows down people behind. if it is someone doing so, on purpose, just to annnoy people behind that car, then I would change lane.

1- First of all its a good thread.
2- It's only a matter of perspective.
3- Anyone who wants to get to point B from point A fastest is already worried and anxious. I mean really worried.
So any delay in even one second, meaning even one second seems a minute if not an hour.
P.S. No answer or solution I can present since no question to solve the problem was asked in first post contrary to BH assertion. Only the reason for this feeling/phenomenon was asked. :-)
