every caste/ethnicity/birdari considers marrying a girl out a step down...
its not as simple as pathan/punjabi...
i know pathans who are more than willing to give their daughters to punjabis who are rajputs/jatts/maliks but not to every punjabi birdari
i know rajputs who would not give their daughters to jatts
afridi pathans are less likely to give their daughters to say khattaks
tribal pathans are less likely to give their daughters to pathans from settled areas..
the list goes on.....
