Why is it ok for a younger woman to marry an older man, but its not seen as “normal” for younger man to marry an older woman?

messed up backward society…otherwise its completely ok to marry in both situations as long as both parties give their consent.

i think its just a rare occurrence.. otherwise usually older women find similar or further older men.

I don’t think there’ anything abnormal about it… there are case sin my family where the woman is the older one, and it’s rather normal on my mom’s side. However, I think women personally prefer older men, on account of women (usually) maturing earlier than men (I mean mentally), and it takes most men quite a while to get there. In my experience, I have yet to have an intelligent conversation with a man who is not at least five years older than me.

I always was thought that women pref older men b/c of financial security more than anything else.

Not really. Might be the reason for some women but a lot of us prefer a couple of years older guys because the maturity levels match. That is not to say there aren’t mature young guys out there but have yet to meet one.

Yep just society and their warped views on everything. also like how its ok for men to be fat but not women or its ok for men to sleep around without being labelled but not women
although thankfully people seem to be lightening up about the whole older woman-young man debate. a lot of women are getting themselves toyboys nowadays, its becoming the norm. and is usually praised especially if they woman is a hot older mama
