Because men’s nipples don’t cause women to become aroused.. or something like that..
A bit odd to censor a painting which doesn’t look realistic.. I personally don’t believe nipples need to be censored in every single case.. should depend on the situation..

^It’s socially acceptable in many Western places in the Summer..
It would be very unlikely for anyone to kick up a fuss or ask a guy to put his shirt back on if we’re talking about a lot of places outdoors.. There are exceptions but it’s not generally seen as a bad thing..

Its legal to be topless in NYC for woman. I know they have ‘Free the nipple’ movement or something.
