Omg, my mom does the same thing! whats so wrong about standing up to what you believe in? is it wrong? NO! it pisses me off when my mom does that. and i'm now considered the most rebellious of my family sometimes. its stupid, its ignorant and its just sexist for girls not to talk.
my mom always sent me to the kitchen when i was 'misbehaving' or gave me looks that said 'shut up, you weren't supposed to say that.'
they are so backward. mom it may be pakistan but stop acting like old-fashioned american woman from the 19th century and wake up: treat me as though i have the right in saying whatever i want. this is the reason why so many desi (and muslim) women are sometimes looked down upon because of these ignorant aunties.
it pisses the !%!$%#!% out of me.
