Good for her, she’s a smart cookie. She demanded for the respect every girl deserves and her man worked magic to make it happen.

So girls, the lesson here is don’t sell yourself short. If you expect respect, you will get it. It may not be the first guy but do you want to marry a loser who won’t give you what is a basic right, human dignity & respect.

Exactly! And in the end, it worked out better for everyone. Because this girl would never have been comfortable enough to invite or live with his parents in his house when they come to visit the US from Pakistan. If my aunt had gotten her way earlier (before the wedding), then she herself would have been unable to visit her son and live with him.
