I love history and at the start i was very enthuasiastic about the History forums... hwoever over time the numbers dwindled and thus after some of my posts got zero replies i stopped posting...
Mind you History is very undervalued these days people prefer taling about the future not the past, which i cant blame them for really but without knowing the past how pray do they expect to resolve the crisis's of tommorow....?
Alas history is tragedy.....

No its a very fluent subject like water it can be deep and powerfull.... however it can also be shallow and sublime.
Fact is if the current school syllabus is considered for a moment then you'll see why history is not so important.... most schools have shoved it back on the class timetable becuase history is not considered a usefull subject for work.
Thats a actually a valid point yet i would still place great emphasis on history as it is a core section of any subject even maths has a history you know.

Besides there are many on GS who know me like fammily never mind history....and sure we can brag about it (our history that is) just the same way we can cry about it, moan about it and celebrate it.
And to be precise it's not anybodys history, it's everyones history, history is more than just the past it encompasses both the past the present and the future.
And everyone knows something about history, but like a lost tapestry we only have snippets, add up all the snippets and you have something worth treasuring....
Not thats hsitory!
