^ Shriek11: if your question is who started the 1971 war here are the highlights in sequence, which clearly establishes that Pakistan started it:

Mar 25, 1971 - Pak Military started crackdown; Awami League banned! Mujib arrested
Mar 27, 1971 - E.Pakistan reacts; Mukhtibahini formed; Govt in exile
Mar to Dec 1971 - Pak military atrocity in BD continues; 10Million refugees stream into India; Economic and border instability and law and order issues prop up as a result in India; India expresses support of Awami League that rightfully won the elections
Aug 9, 1971 - In response to US promising arms and aid to West Pakistan, India signs treaty with USSR thus checkmating the Pakistan-China-US aggressive posture; UK and France breahaway from the US in response to Mrs.Gandhi's efforts
Nov 23 1971 - Yahya declares emergency and asks people of Pakistan to be ready for war!
Dec 3, 1971 - PAF attacks IAF bases - in three waves between 17:39 and 23:00 hrs, the strikes were targeted against 11 Indian Airbases in addittion to some radar stations.
Can you tell me based on the above sequence, who started the 1971 war?
