Is it not said when we die...we automatically know how to speak arabic?
furthermore the angels will ask in arabic to!
Not the common arabic that is used now mind you....classical arabic!
Please state from Islmaci scriptures where it is mentioned that offical language of kingdom of heavens is Arabic.
but why cant we pray in another language?
You can and you should. If you are talking about daily five time prayers then it is for simlicity and making things easier for muslims... for instance if it was allowed to do that and you go to russia and need pray in masjid firstly you wont recognise Azan (asuming you dont know russian) and if you somhow find masjid it would be extremely difficult to pray behind a local imam in local language.
or why is it BETTER to read the Qu'ran in arabic then in translation
I reckon it is better to read the translation in the your language instead of parroting words and sentences you cant comprehend. But the best option is to learn Arabic, which is easier once you are able to read it
As far as I understand the Qur'an is the Word of God. It was revealed in Arabic and that is the way it should be recited. If it was revealed in another language and Allah (SWT) is All-Powerful then we would be required to recite it in the language it was revealed.
Du'a is better to be done in ones own language, but with du'a there are traditions and those traditions stem from the legacy of the Sunnah which is in Arabic. That is the reason why Khutba is done in the language of the listeners and parts of it are retained in the original Arabic tongue due to traditions that we are bound by.
Islam is the acknowledgement that all languages are from Allah (SWT) and that the Last Testament was revealed in Arabic and many parts of our rituals and customs are in accordance with our Arabic traditions.
no wonder why people get agitated by Muslims sometimes --- so freakn hard to ask a question and get a proper answer. Its a simple question -- and in Islam there are answers to things WOW

oh thank you, that makes a lot of sense-- arabic is a beautiful language, and thus if a religon is regarded in such a language it shouldnt be revised, it was the language our Prophet (SAW) spoke as well, i think its best for us to learn in than- just pray and read in another language - correct?? also i think that when people dont understand why its in arabic--- its out of arrogance -- i actually had this question posed by a nonmuslim, and i wanted more information before i gave him any information lol
but thanks!
