5 marks for one wrong name :(

my history teacher in 7th and 8th was very strict but we all loved her...we had named her Lady hitler...but even she didnt cut itne zyadah marks for a wrong name :(

I had no interest in History as a child, always a rebbelious character from the start...

However having spent my formative years in Gilgit and then coming back South was a big change. In the Mountains I learned fast about the land and the people through lore and legend... then coming to the city I found some of those lores had historical basis and then I've been hooked ever since.

Aside from the martial aspects in History I love learning about peoples original cultures and how many struggle to try and keep the old ways...

I was still first and my teacher lauded me for using the term 'Indo-Pak', which he thought I catched from somewhere else and not taught by him.

I hate history because of non violent freedom fight…:smiley:

freedom struggle took maximum space in course book …and maximum coverage was given to non violence movement…:yawn:

I hated it because they taught all the controversial topics like Karbala, Conquest of Sindh and wars between India and Pakistan as early as 5th grade and after that these topics were not discussed (except for wars to some extent)in later classes.

We did not have indo Pak war in history - understandable since too many yrs since 1965.

Even partition violence not covered.

History was taught in worst possible way. Lots and lots of dates. Lesrnt nothing.
