Op, most Pakistani parents that I have come across (Punjabi or not) do not favor their sons getting married at 16. That’s one less thing you can attribute as a generalization to Pakistani culture…woohoo!!! If your dad insists on you being a teenaged husband, you will find numerous other Pakistani, Punjabi dads who would not back him up. Revel in the thought that you just might be among the minority for once. The undesired minority as opposed to the more sounder-minded majority. Oh the irony!!!

This is great but is it true?? I hear stories of girl getting married of as soon as 15 here.
