^^ Shikra good point .. but my take is .. you and me not driving much or changing our driving habits is not going to change the consumable goods prices .. right ?
so why bother ?
I just heard that oil prices came down becuase of low demand .. I did not notice any change of price at gas stations in my area ..
Low demand caus elots of people changed their diriving habbits .. but no change in gas price .. means no change in cost for trucking companies .. means no change in consumable goods prices ...
point is .. the myth we had that by changing our driving habit , we can change the prices of everything around us cause gas prices are going to come down ... I did not see that happening

True........but qatra qatra kar k darya banta hai.
As for prices not coming down, you are correct. They go up as soon as the oil price goes up even when the inventory was purchased at a cheaper rate, but they don't come down as fast, then they wanna finish the inventory purchased at a higher cost at high prices.
Also, just because oil price goes up or down, that doesn't necessarily mean that the gas price will follow it. I remember a few months ago when the oil price kept going up but the gas prices stayed around $2.89 or so.
While I agree with you and it irritates me too, although the oil price has come down, perhaps the refineries are not refining oil at full capacity? Who knows. Besides, chachoo ko profit ho raha hai, why does he care, or anyone else for that matter? If I didn't have to wear business casual to go to work, I would be riding the bike everyday.
Our Area doesnt have public transport…actually there is a little bit of it.The gas is still a bot cheaper here but that is leveled off with the bigger size of the vehicles that you see mostly around here…so it does make a lot of difference. An average household has about 2-3 cars..so that can add up to a laaat of lattes to make the hole in your pocket the size of Australia:bummer:
