Are they just hedging their bets, which way the current crisis goes?
Re: Why have none of the Supreme Court judges resigned?

Re: Why have none of the Supreme Court judges resigned?
no no no, u got it all wrong, the judges that resigned are really upset and feel that the honor of judiciary is at stake, and have resigned.
all the other judges in pakistan did not feel so strongly about it so they did not resign.

Re: Why have none of the Supreme Court judges resigned?
Ah, so it was nothing to do with the loss of good perks and 'ooper ki kamai' :)
Re: Why have none of the Supreme Court judges resigned?
I guess we all should work towards the progress of Pakistan rather then fighting each other..
Re: Why have none of the Supreme Court judges resigned?
Aalsi, there are a total of 19 Justices in the Supreme Court of Pakistan](http://www.supremecourt.gov.pk//intro-judges.htm) - not one has resigned to date. In fact two have come forward and been sworn in as Chief Justices in Chaudhury’s place.
In addition there are over 80 justices who sit in the four provincial High Courts (Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar and Quetta), and to date ONLY one has resigned.

So of over 100 Superior Court Justices - only 1 has seen it fit to side with the suspended Chief Justice. That is quite telling is it not?
That said, I don’t believe anyone in this whole saga has behaved responsibly - be it the suspended CJ, government ministers, lawyers, and the opposition. The police behaviour was unforgiveable. In the first week it became a political circus, with the likes of our Maulana’s budging forward to take advantage. But since then I believe sense has prevailed, and the Ch. Iftikhar is moving around freely and behaving with caution and decorum, while the President has shut the ministers up. In the end it is the President and the suspended CJ who will have to come to an arrangement, which will leave vested elements amongst our politicians (govt & opposition) and the lawyer community sorely disappointed.
