Why hate Musharraf so PASSIONATELY??

valid points
now tell us
who do you like? :)

to be honest I've always disliked Nawaz Sharif. Till recently he was no different than any other politician, but despite immense American pressure he has held his ground on both the judges and Musharraf. Maybe he learned a lesson in exile.
I also like Wahih Ahmed, Imran Khan, CJ Iftikhar, Raza Rabbani even Zardari may have turned things around.

There is a difference between a lawyer friend of yours, and the president of a country like Pakistan making statements, hope you realize that. Face it, that was a pathetic thing to say. Also, what are your thoughts about him exonerating the army captain who raped Dr. Shazia in Baluchistan?

they hate him because he took action against their fav mollahs..n lal masjid n madrasas that teach suicide bombings n hatred..n all those fundamentalists n terrorists in swat...these people juz cant stand these orthodox extremist forces being attacked..n these looterz being kicked out..pathetic!

I agree100%

Actually you are only making assumptions and spreading false information. Musharraf failed in curbing militancy, he fired a missile here and there to show "we are working", he made deals with likes of Mehsud, he only took care of Lal Masjid when it hurt outsiders (he was alseep till then), if CJ was really corrupt and crook why he failed to prosecute him after the SC was replaced?

1- wohi judiciary jo 1 case hel kerne main kai saal laga dete hain....parents ke cases bachey lartey hain.
2 - But look at the development he brought....Aaj kal to investors yahan se jana chahtey hain....
3 - I didn't heard anything about afia from anyone of this government...
4 - Lal masjid...huh Islam yeh nahi sikhata ke aurton ke haath main dand pakra diye jaen..Bachon ki lbrary per qabza kiya jay.Chinese jo humare liye itna kuch ker rahe hain un ki aurtoun ko kidnaap kiya jaye. Kya HAZOOR (SAW) ne ISLAM ki taleem dande ke zorr per di thi...
5 - Please explain this civil war...
6- What political system...Today's Khao Piyo and Turkho 's system...
7- Chief justice sahab ne apni shorat ka najaiz faeda uthaya hai..wih karachi aye he kyoun....Woh apne laawyers se yeh bhi tou keh sakte they ke yeh mera aur supreme court ka maamla baqi log apna kam kren...jajisa ke main pehle kaha unhon ne apni fame ka najaez faida uthaya bachey bachey ko un ka naam yaad hogaya..lekin us se pehle kisi ko itna nahi pata tha ke mulk ka present cj koun hai...atleast mujhe tou nahi ptata tha...

We are talking about Supreme Court here mainly, the cases you are talking about are fought at much smaller levels.

Of course, many reasons there, one of which is tussle between president and parliament.

May be because you don't pay attention, as soon as Dr Afia was reported to be in NY/US Pakistan govt demanded access to her etc.

Correct, what was govt doing till that point? They just didn't do it overnight, it took many years for them to get the strength they showed that day. Supproted militancy was just being shoved under carpet.

chalo Chief Justice ne apni position ka najaiz faida uthaya, us ke baad NEW Supreme Court ayee? kia kia us NEW court ne? kia Musharraf ne phir se Ch Iftikhar ke khilaf muqadma kia?

I have no quams about that...i totally agree....i only say this....that out of all the worst choices we have/had....he was our best choice...Tell me what have we ever had from the likes of the sharifs..or zardari...? and what exactly do we expect from them in the future? The likes of these people had two tenures in goverment...and what ever came out of that...?

Dude i respect your opinion.....I only think Musharraff is not in the same boat as all the "others".

Re: Why hate Musharraf so PASSIONATELY??

I think more than the whole judges issue, Musharraf's biggest undoing has been his handling of the May 12 crisis and subsequent alliance with MQM and his amnesty to thugs like Zardari and co. Other than this, he was on the right track.

Re: Why hate Musharraf so PASSIONATELY??

A president for whom not Pakistan but his kursi meant everything deserves all the contempt he gets.

Partly true. In addition to that, he should have inducted bright minded politicians with a vision similar to his when he overthrew NS's Govt. He would have flourished and remembered as an icon, instead he chose to ally himself with crooks that later formed the party known as PML(Q). The potion of power got to him and he started to take decisions on his own accord without consultation with the Parliament. It's like speaking two tongue at the same time. On one hand he said he's doing his best to restore true democracy, and on the other hand he was doing everything that goes against a democratic set-up.

It's a case of blurry vision, misplaced priorities, poor judgement, and ultimate greed serving as the last nail in the coffin. As far as i'm concerned he's no different than any other politician on the scene. He sold Pakistani citizens to US.

The only good thing about him is/was that he spoke English better than most politicians that are in power today. I give him that, and that's about it.

am makin assumptions..the whole world knows wht happens in these madrassas n how they were hidin weapons...how they brainwash their children with all the negativity n hatred that they call islam..

Did they happen to get and hide all that weaponry in one day? It took a long time and all this while govts were looking the other way because they were serving govts' other agendas.

Re: Why hate Musharraf so PASSIONATELY??

People following this guy have their reasons to hate Musharraf passionately:

Qaeda's Zawahiri slams Musharraf as 'enemy of Islam'

DUBAI (AFP) — Al-Qaeda number two Ayman al-Zawahiri slammed Pakistan's embattled President Pervez Musharraf as an enemy of Islam, in a first audio message in English posted online on Saturday.
In the message, excerpts of which were aired by Pakistan's ARY One television last week, Zawahiri also dismissed the Pakistani army as a "band of mercenaries" controlled by the US administration.
"Pervez (Musharraf) has proven himself to be one of the biggest enemies of Islam, if the not the biggest," Zawahiri said in the purported message, which was posted on a website usually used by Islamist militant groups.
He chided Musharraf for offering "all support to topple the Muslim emirate in Afghanistan," referring to the US-led war which defeated the Taliban regime in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks on the United States.
"Is the Pakistan Army an army defending Muslims, or merely a security service agency or a band of mercenaries which kills Muslims ... to please its masters, the neo-crusaders in the White House," he said, in an apparent attempt to incite Muslim Pakistanis against the army.
"It is evident that during the past years, the Pakistan army's primary duty has been to take part in the killing of Muslims from Kabul to Islamabad," he charged.
He said that the army "assault" on the Red Mosque in Islamabad, in July 2007, "exposed the ugly anti-Islamic face of the military leadership of Pakistan."
Egyptian-born Zawahiri said he chose to speak in English against his wish in order to address the people of Pakistan in a language they can understand, saying he would have spoken in Urdu had he mastered the "charming" language.
Zawahiri, a physician, also said that he went to Pakistan first in 1980, to help treat the Mujahedeen (holy warriors) wounded in the war in Afghanistan against the Russians.
He was forced to leave in the early 1990s due to American pressure, Zawahiri said.
"I stayed no more than six years in Pakistan, mostly in Peshawar," he said.
"All of us have enjoyed the warm welcome and the caring attention of most Pakistanis, which has been most evident during the past crusade being carried out by Pervez and his hunting dogs, in compliance with orders of their master in Washington," he said.
Musharraf, a staunch ally of the United States in its "war on terror", is facing immense pressure to step down as the government prepares to file impeachment charges against him next week.
The fugitive Zawahiri was briefly rumoured to have died in a July 28 missile strike in Pakistan, but US intelligence and Pakistan's Taliban movement subsequently denied the reports.

So we can call you Bush lover too? Stop lumping all anti-Mush in one same group, unless you want to be as lame/ignorant as Bush (with us or against).

I am not saying all Mush haters are AlQaeda followers. However, all AlQaeda followers are surely anti-Mush as AlQaeda is anti-Mush (evident from their latest statement). Kapish?

The reason the Mush is passionately hated by the Mullahs is because of his actions against AlQaeda and Taliban. Otherwise they have no love for democracy and have no problem with dictatorship. The relationship of Jamaat Islami and other religious elements with Zia Ul Haq is well known fact. That is why they are also all of a sudden so much for human rights while they have been anti-human rights all the time.

Off course they are not the only one group that is passionately anti-Mush.

Re: Why hate Musharraf so PASSIONATELY??

^ thank you, please be careful in future statements.

what musharraf has done to destroy judiciary.he was president and he has right to remove the CJ..IT WAS ALL CJ FAULT HE TRY TO MISUSE HIS POWER
he could have stoped all those relies and marches which were held on the name of judiciary .....if he was innocent he should have proved it in the court not on the street

he had been givin them warnings over warnings to stop their dirty deeds..but they didnt pay no heed..it was time to take action n teach them a lesson..no state in the world can stand such harassment n interference,,!..he just got rid of our future's suicide bombers..u should be thankful to him
