What’s there to discuss? The government’s constitution, dictated by Musharaf himself, still states that God is ultimately sovereign of Pakistan, not any individual in the govt.

PCG this world is only a temporary place, the non muslims may be making leaps and strides in this world, but who’s truly gonna be winning in the end when all is said and done.

Your logic is :
Its okay if we're not successful in this world - we have our religion which we follow.
My logic is:
We're not following our religion because if we were, we WOULD be successful in the world.
Your logic is not proactive - its passive and allows for damage to continue taking place.
When I say success, I don't mean like lets all become rich in money. I'm talking about...hey how about we make our countries safe to live in...provide the right opportunities for our own people instead of making their lives harder...how about we not abuse our women and our kids...how about we promote education...how about we ensure basic healthcare for each individual...
stuff like that which is totally do-able, except there are too many muslims out there - in power, and out of power - even your every day citizens - which make these basic tasks next to impossible.
Why? Because they're mostly ignorant about thier own deen and iman.

I believe that a muslim who does not follow islam is the one who's the looser in this world and the hereafter. Following Islam like you said requires us to learn, both about religion and worldly affairs.
Islam also tells us a few things about predestiny. You may work your entire life out but only get one dollar if that is whats written for you, or you may do absolutely nothing and have riches come crashing down on you, however its the niat that matters, and surely a man who works hard and never looses hope in Allah will be the one rewarded when it really matters.
Now please, stop finding arguments and wrongs in every post. Not all of us are vehemently after you and your reasoning.

Heh, once more, please try and understand what im saying before going on and putting words in my mouth. I for one dont think we have too many people following religion now or we wont be in this condition.
I think perhaps i initially said it in a way you and others didnt understand, WITHOUT ISLAM WE HAVE NOTHING, zip, nada. Be that in this world, or the next.
