WHY girls work?

Re: WHY girls work?

Just curious here, but is anyone trying to do something career-wise with their life that they actually enjoy? Or are you people trying to be pragmatic and calculating like typical desis, that if you aim for such a degree and such a job, then your arse is getting maximal protection?

If you were doing something you actually enjoyed, then the question of giving it up entirely for family and domesticated life wouldn't be crossing your mind. And nowhere did I say you should not take time off to spend with the kids when they're young. But I fail to see how getting a PROFESSIONAL degree is worth it when you really just want to sit around and watch Pakistani dramas while waiting for your hubby and kids to get home. Kids are in the "baby" stage for like 5 to 6 years of their life...then they start becoming independent. My point is merely that you're wasting someone's seat if you're intending on sitting around the house for the rest of your life. YOu could have done that with a liberal arts degree.

And who exactly are you trying to fool here? Lets say there are X number of law seats in the country. Lets say there are X-Y number of prestigious law seats. Are you telling me that only an X-Y number of people get kick arse LSAT scores, and everyone else who sucked got the Y seats? Its absurd, and illogical. Furthermore, LSAT scores are not the only thing factored into whether you get that good seat or not. Your intention and committment also play a major role.

First you show me evidence that a prestigious law school is going to give its seat to someone who just has a good LSAT score, but doesn't care to use their degree. Like I said, if you said all that you're saying here to your professors (all you girls, not just angel-eyes), you would be asked to leave your institution, or at least you would become black sheep.
